Itinerary

Cusco Km. 104 – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes

Day 1

We will start this great adventure very early!

We will pick you up from your hotel to go to the Ollantaytambo station where we will take the train to Km 104, which is the point where we will start the ascent walk for about 3 hours until we reach the archaeological zone. From Wiñay Wayna (2650 m.a.s.l.), along the way, we will see beautiful waterfalls, native flora, and mountain birds. On route, we will take a break to enjoy our lunch. Continuing with the walk, we will arrive at Inti-Punku (Sungate); from this point, we will have a spectacular view of Machu Picchu. Finally, we will go down to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a brief explanation by the guide about the history of Machu Picchu, and then we will go down to the town of Aguas Calientes to spend the night in a hotel.

Visit Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

Day 2

After breakfast, we will take one of the first buses to go up to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours in a small group. We will then have time to explore the citadel independently. After this incredible experience, we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, and you will have free time for lunch (not included).
